I need advice as to an employee that has back issues and has given a signed note from her doctor about her back pain. She is a very good employee. Produces alot of money, is very professional with clients and staff, and receptionists. In our handbook it states no flip flops. She is coming to work with orthodic FIT FLOPS. One of the owners told her that she needs to buy a nicer appropriate show. He even went out with her to help pick a nicer looking sandel. They came back with a Swarkorski crystal expensive Fit flop from Nordstrom. She claims its the best shoe for her and she does stand for 10-12 hours a day. There are 4 owners. 2 of the owners want her sent home and do not approve. 2 of the owners feel that one approved her shoe, and she is a very good employee and should be left alone. Please help give the best way to handle this situation.
