Please type your question here... I am purchasing a dog boarding kennel. The current kennel manager is a salaried employee who does not accrue sick or vacation time. All other EEs are hourly and part time. The kennel manager is pregnant and having problems with the pregnancy. If her physician disables her for the duration of the pregnancy and there is no provision for medical leave pay am I responsible for continuance of her salary throughout her disability? Can she be placed on temporary layoff so she can collect unemployment or will that be considered discriminatory because she is pregnant?
