The Traditionalists and the Baby Boomers are usually different in work style and their relationship to their employer than the Milennials and Generations X&Y. I say, make use of this diversity of styles in setting policy and managing them.

Find what works well for your company and what doesn't. Help managers learn to utilize and balance the prudence, seasoning, experience, and work ethic of the older generations with the freshness of ideas, consensus building, social connectivity, and personal motivations of the younger generations. Help work teams understand the benefit of understanding the value of all the styles and how they can create what the company needs now to meet market demands and stay competitive.
