Judy McFarland is vice president of Human Resources Shared Services, HR&A Process and Technology, and Mission Assurance for Northrop Grumman.
Judy is responsible for program management and overall leadership of key companywide human resources systems. She led the enterprise initiative to harmonize the primary HR processes and policies that were previously specific to each sector within the company. In addition, she led a cross-functional team that designed, developed and opened the doors to an HR Service Center (HRSC). Today the HRSC is processing core HR transactions for nearly 90,000 Northrop Grumman employees and managers.
In January 2010, the company created HR Shared Services to encompass the HR Service Center and the newly established Enterprise Security Shared Services, chartered to provide DoD Security Clearance Processing and Pre-employment Investigations (PEI) support in a phased enterprise implementation. Judy also leads the company’s HR&A Process and Technology function, responsible for developing and implementing an enterprise wide HR systems architecture and management of all HR systems.
In June 2010, Judy accepted oversight of Mission Assurance (MA) for ESS. In this role, she leads the development of standards, assessment and monitoring of the health of ESS programs and processes, and capturing and reporting vital performance data in a consistent way across the ESS organization.
