Marriott Hotels is looking to hire 50,000 new employees by the end of 2011. How will they tackle this challenge? Well, for starters, they’ve taken a cue from CityVille and FarmVille and have developed a strategy to generate interest in their employer brand through the use of social gaming. “My Marriott Hotel” is a game on Marriott Careers’ Facebook page and gives gamers a taste of what it’s like to work in one of many career lines of the hotel chain.
